The wombat and the ego

Is spiritual emergency, a personal

emergency which has to be excused

in any way?

Something greater achieved is something greater perceived

with ego side by side.

A little nudge, blatant, open praise. It stirs like the wombat in
the book, though unlikely to be hungry for oil colours (they
must like pastels!)

Perhaps it was not ego but a memory.

A note on the writing of this post: Inspired by the marvelous The Doll Factory.
Isn’t wombat a curious word… Wombat, wombat, wombat, wombat.
It tickles me (the word, that is, not the animal snuggling up to my feet). It’s the w with the m and the vowels that give it such an Peter-Rabbit-feeling.
